IndividualsPilates has probably been recommended to you by your GP, Pain Management Unit or physiotherapist. Perhaps you have been injured, had an operation, or suffer from poor posture. We firstly recommend that you read the page on this website entitled What is Pilates, as in our experience, some people are not too familiar with Pilates, and others have preconceived ideas that are sometimes inaccurate.

Whatever your age, sex, or current level of incapacity, Pilates can help you to recover from many different complaints including:

  • Neck and back injuries
  • Shoulder injuries and tendonitis
  • Hip injuries/replacements and bursitis
  • Ankle injuries
  • Knee injuries/replacements
  • Sciatica
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Scoliosis
  • Repetitive stress injuries
  • Poor posture

Pilates Rehab Ltd offers a user-friendly place for you to find out about Pilates and how it can help you. The benefits we offer include:

  • We will find you a local Pilates teacher from our UK-wide register. We only use highly qualified and fully insured teachers, so you know that you will be getting a teacher you can trust.
  • You will learn a new life skill that will benefit you long after you have recovered from your injury.
  • Sessions can take place at your home or at work, making them convenient and comfortable.
  • Our free, comprehensive Lifetime Support Package gives you all the help you need to continue with your Pilates practise, even after your sessions with us have finished. We want to help you to reach levels of health, flexibility and fitness that far exceed those you enjoyed prior to your injury.
  • We offer easy ways to pay for your sessions, and we can work with your insurer or employer if they are funding your treatment.

IndividualsBelow are some typical questions you may have.

Q. What does treatment with Pilates Rehab Ltd involve?

A.  The first thing we do having received your enquiry is to locate one of our Pilates Practitioners in your area. The Practitioner will then call to arrange an Initial Assessment. The purpose of this is for you to meet your Practitioner, and to discuss your issues and how Pilates might help.  If appropriate, the practitioner may also begin to introduce you to some exercises. The Practitioner reports back to us at Pilates Rehab, and we will contact you to talk about an appropriate treatment plan.  You do not have to sign up for a long course of sessions.

Q. How does a Pilates Practitioner make it onto your Register?

A. We are very strict with who we allow onto our register. Firstly, they must hold a required high level certification. They must also have appropriate insurance cover. We also ask all of our Practitioners to attend an Induction Day so we meet them personally. We arrange regular meetings with our Practitioners to discuss issues and developments, and we encourage them to continue their own further education. They are also required to report back to us regularly.

Q. When & where do the sessions take place, and what do I wear?

A.  At a time and location that is most convenient for you. Most people find having the sessions at home or at work the best option for them. We aim to have one hour session every week. You do not need sports clothing, just something comfortable and loose fitting.

Q. How do I pay?

A. You can pay online by clicking the box on the left. Or simply call us and we can take payment details over the telephone. You can choose to pre-pay for a block of sessions which is more cost effective.

Q. What if during my treatment I have any questions?

A. Your first point of contact will be with your Practitioner. However, you can always contact the Pilates Rehab Ltd Team at any time, by telephone, email or via the website. We will keep in regular contact with you to see how your treatment is progressing, and to discuss the way forward.

Q. What happens when I feel that the reason for my treatment has been resolved?

A. That is entirely up to you. Whatever you choose, Pilates Rehab Ltd will be there to support you. Most clients want to continue with their Pilates practise, as they find that they feel stronger and more flexible, and want to carry on improving their body. Some clients enjoy the personal touch of a one-to-one session and so continue with them, either weekly or even monthly. Others are happy to join a local group session which we can find for you. You will also benefit from our Lifetime Support Resource.

Q. Do you really mean Lifetime Support, as that sounds too good to be true? What does it involve?

A. Yes we really do! You will be given access to the Member’s Area of the website which holds a wealth of information, including regularly updated exercises, articles about Pilates, and newsletters. You will also be able to contact Pilates Rehab Ltd with any questions you may have, and discuss your experiences with other Pilates Rehab Ltd members.

Q. How do I sign up?

A. Please click on the “Referral Form” link, and complete the sections that are relevant to you. Please feel free to call us if you need any other help or advice.
